Ashgabat hosts Uzbekistan – Turkmenistan inter-MFA consultations

TASHKENT, August 28. /“Dunyo” IA/. On August 26, Ashgabat hosted political consultations between the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

Uzbekistan delegation was led by the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Norov and Turkmenistan delegation was led by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers – Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov.

The parties comprehensively discussed the issue of development of mutually beneficial Uzbekistan – Turkmenistan strategic partnership in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic, transport-communication, water-energy, consular-legal and cultural-humanitarian spheres.

The main attention was paid to the practical implementation of agreements at the highest level.

The parties also exchanged views on the current issues of regional cooperation, including in the economic sphere, ensuring regional security and joint struggle against modern challenges.
