New York hosts a roundtable discussion on constitutional reform in Uzbekistan

NEW YORK, August 2. /“Dunyo” IA/. The Congress of Bukharian Jews of the USA and Canada in New York hosted a roundtable discussion on the constitutional reform in Uzbekistan, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

The event was attended by the leadership and leading representatives of the Congress from among prominent public and political figures, experts, researchers, journalists and businessmen.

The participants were informed about the priority areas of the constitutional reform being carried out in Uzbekistan.

The attention of the participants was also drawn to changes that are aimed at strengthening interethnic and interfaith harmony, preserving and enhancing the rich culture of the multinational people of Uzbekistan, as well as comprehensive support for compatriots.

The participants of the roundtable discussion welcomed the ongoing democratic reforms in Uzbekistan to improve the Basic Law of Uzbekistan. They highly appreciated the measures to ensure transparency and openness of the constitutional process.
