TASHKENT, November 10. / “Dunyo” IA. Institute of Bоtany of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan jointly with Kunming Institute of Bоtany of the Chinese Academy of Sciences has released a scientific work “Flora of the Djhizak province, Uzbekistan” in English, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
The 523-pages book includes data on the flora of Djhizak region, numbering 1964 plant species belonging to 613 genera and 105 families, as well as photographs of landscapes and more than 400 plant species.
Among the co-authors of the book are Director of the Institute of Bоtany, academician Komiljon Tozhibaev, head of the laboratory of cadastre and monitoring of rare plant species Natalia Beshko. The preface to the book was written by the President of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, academician Bekzod Yuldashev.
