Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan met with international observers from India

TASHKENT, October 26. /“Dunyo” IA/. Yesterday, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Furkat Sidikov met with international observers from India – President of the Institute of Global Studies Ashok Sajjanhar, Director General of the Manohar Parrikar Institute for Defense Studies and Analyses Sujan Chinoy and expert of the Vivekananda International Foundation, former Ambassador of India to Uzbekistan Skand Tayal, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.


Indian experts congratulated the Uzbek side on the successful holding of the Presidential elections. According to their estimates, the October 24 elections were open and transparent, in line with the generally recognized principles of holding democratic elections.

The Indian Government fully supports the political and socio-economic transformations in Uzbekistan. Delhi welcomes and highly appreciates the policy of the Leadership of Uzbekistan to build relations with neighbors on the principles of good neighborliness and mutual respect.
