10 more suspects returned to their families in Karakalpakstan

TASHKENT, August 31. /“Dunyo” IA/. Yestreday, another 10 citizens was replaced with a measure of restraint in the form of house arrest on the principle of humanity in Karakalpakstan, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

Yestreday, “Dunyo” IA reported that on the basis of a public guarantee at the suggestion of members of the Commission and the petition of Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the Prosecutor General's Office returned 24 suspects to their families.

According to the press service of the Ombudsman, on the same day, the measure of restraint in the form of detention of another 10 citizens was replaced with a measure of restraint in the form of house arrest on the principle of humanity.

On August 30 alone, a total of 34 citizens were returned to their families.

It should be reminded that the list submitted to the Prosecutor General's Office was formed on the basis of a study of applications to the Commission by family members of detainees suspected of participating in demonstrations, and a personal conversation with the suspects.
